UDINZ Photography Competition

We’re delighted to announce today on World Photography Day that entries are now officially open for our 2024 UDINZ Photography Competition.

The overarching theme of this competition is “Urban Development Photography distinctly of Aotearoa New Zealand”.

Merit shall be determined by the judges entirely at their discretion based on their perception of the appropriateness of the image to the category in which it is entered and the quality of “story” told by the image. It is not technical photography or any particular style of photography sought, but the story of our people and places here in Aotearoa we are after. Our objective is to collect contemporary imagery of urban development best practice from Aotearoa so as to better showcase the mahi of the built environment sector here in Aotearoa – it could be finished, or partially completed, projects and also pictures of those undertaking such projects.

How do you enter?: Entry is achieved by submitting entries on link below (images of up to 5MB can be attached for judging purposes) before 23 September (portal closes midnight on 22nd).

Finalists in each category and the Supreme Winner will be officially announced on 7 October 2024 to coincide with World Architecture Day.
